awwwww, I am soooo sorry to hear that, my brother had a betta fish and it died, the recently my older sister bought him a goldfish for his birthday, the old fish's name was Louis and the new one's is James:)

I know clicker training helped me to train my cat to go over jumps and obstacles indoor, I have not tried to do it outdoors or in events, I am not planning on showing any of my pets besides horses:)
maybe ilovebreyer, you should look into clicker training or just figure out your own way of training Sydney and maybe that might work if you really work at it.
